Project M.E.

Project M.E. was developed out of the need for children to see themselves mirrored in their classrooms. We want every child to be able to say "my teacher looks like me." This program entails a 3 years commitment.

Project M.E.²

Project M.E.-Extended is an optional, additional 3 years in the program focused on mentorship and setting community foundations.

  • Resources

    Project M.E. - Receive 75% of median rent amount of 1 bedroom up to $750 a month. District must have under 2% minority teacher representation.

    Project M.E.² - A continuation of Project M.E. Receive 75% of median rent amount of 1 bedroom up to $375 a month. Must continue working in the same district as Project M.E.

  • Community

    Participants must live within 6 miles of district for duration of the programs.

    Programs run in cohorts to provide additional peer to peer supports.

    Yearly community service opportunities.

  • Professional Development

    Project participants receive all the benefits of a Professional Development membership, which offers relevant training delivered by BIPOC educators, consultants, and professionals.

Application deadline for the 2022-23 school year is June 30.
